2015	ARVIND PANAGARIYA  became first Vice Chairman of NITI Ayog Sh. Arvind Panagariya became first Vice Chairman of newly founded NITI Ayog on "January 5". He is a free market economist and professor at Columbia University in US. He will head NITI Ayog and work under Chairman of NITI Ayog PM Sh. Narendra Modi.
2015	LAUNCH OF SCHEMES TO PROMOTE USE OF LED LIGHTINGS TO CONSERVE ELECTRICITY    Sh. Narendra Modi launched following schemes to increase use of LED lightings to help conserve electricity ; * Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme. * National Programme for LED-based Home & Street Lighting. He also dscribed LED bulb as "Prakash Path" (way to light)
