Martyrs' Day in India is celebrated on "January 30" every year as on the same day Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated in the year 1948. Since then "January 30" is celebrated as Martyrs' day to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and all the Martyrs who laid their lives for the Nation.
