FIRST OFFICIAL CRICKET TEST MATCH WAS PLAYED BETWEEN AUSTRALIAN AND ENGLAND TEAMS
On March 15 in 1877, the first official Cricket Test Match was played between Australian and England Cricket teams at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), which Australian Cricket team won by 45 runs. This Cricket Match was played for four days and ended on March 19.
Charles Bannerman, batsman of Australian Cricket Team made first ever run with a single in this format. Allen Hill of England Cricket Team took first ever wicket of Nat Thomson in this format of Cricket Match. In 2017, first Cricket Test Match completed 140 years. |
