First UNIQUE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER given
RANJANA SONAWANE became first Indian to get a UID (Aadhaar Card). She is a housewife from village Tembhli in Nandurbar district of Maharashtra. Alongwith her, 9 other local residents received their UID card from Sh. Manmohan Singh & Smt. Sonia Gandhi on "September 29".
