The Baily Bridge - World's Highest Bridge

The Baily Bridge, located in Himalayan Mountains between the Dras river & the Suru River in Ladakh Valley in the State of Jammu & Kashmir, is the highest bridge in the World. It was built by the Indian Army in 1982 at an altitude of 5602 meters above sea level. It is a 30 feet long bridge.

 I.N.S. CHAKRA - NUCLEAR POWERED SUBMARINE OF INDIA 


I.N.S. Chakra (Akula-II Class) inducted into Indian Navy. I.N.S. Chakra is the Nuclear-powered Attack Submarine. India has obtained I.N.S. Chakra from Russia on 10 years lease since April 2012.

As of now, I.N.S. Chakra is the only fully operation Nuclear-powered Submarine that Indian Navy has.

Soon India's indigenous Nuclear-powered submarine I.N.S. will also be inducted into Indian Navy. I.N.S. Arihant is a 6000 tonnes vessel which has a 83 MW pressurized light water nuclear reactor to meet submarine's power requirments. I.N.S. Arihant once inducted into Indian Army will be capable of firing nuclear weapons and India will get capability of firing nuclear weapons from land, air & sea.
